Sam’s Club Scan & Go App Reviews

Same as below.....loved the App...used it often...then all of a sudden started getting the 01 error to please use a register. Was told maybe it was my cc so I changed that. Maybe it was my phone so we used my husband’s. Then I got a new phone and new cc....still doesn’t work.

Funny how the app quits working when Sam’s is doing a 3%cash back. Right?

One week ago, got there early, scanned all my items, bagged them—tried to check out—ERROR CODE 01. argggh! It gets better. Unloaded everything-62 items. 20 minutes later finally through check out. I asked 3 different people what the problem was (this was my first experience with “the code.”). I was told it was my phone—please! I’ve successfully used the app for over 6 months why all of s sudden does it decide to quit—-so sad

Scanned an entire cart full then it wouldn't allow me to pay. Wasted 30 min of my day. Not impressed.

Loved this app until I started getting the 01 error code. No one in store or at online app customer service "had ever heard of this error". I called and spoke to store manager, so ridiculous!! Get it together Sams, until you can figure this out, I will shop at Costco. They have wonderful customer service, you should take lessons!!!

Tried it at the local Sam's Club and what a waste of time. Took several tries to get the app to find the store. When it finally logged in, got about half way thru the order and then it lost connection to the store and never could log in again. Wasted the time scanning and then ended up having to check out through the registers anyway.

We love the app. It is such a tough me saver. However we used it one day and the store couldn’t scan as we left so the purchase was “stuck”. We went in and asked them to scan when their machine was fixed and it didn’t clear it. So we can’t use the app until they figure it out. No good!

Can't get it to work. Only got the scanner to read one UPC code and said unknown code. Typed in several UPC codes, all said unknown code.

I use to love this app. About six months ago started getting the code 01 error. I was told to uninstall, reinstall, call my bank, etc. No one knows how to fix this. I upgraded to a new phone and the app worked Once, the next trip received error code 01. I'm using Samsung S8 Android Nougat.

The app worked great in the beginning, but now every time i try to use it, it says error code 01! I have taken the time to scan every item in my cart and still have to go stand in their horribly long check out line and take everything out of my cart to be scanned again by the cashier. The worst thing is that nobody has a clue what error code 01 even means. I've asked the cashiers, I've ask the manager, nobody knows!

Same problem as above use this app successfully every week and then today I wouldn't let me check out after scanning everything. I had great Internet connection, uninstalled it and reinstalled it. Restarted my phone tried 3 different cards and I get error 01... now my kids are screaming from boredom (which is 90% why I use the app) and asked customer service and they had no clue what the code meant so... I just left my cart. And my fridge is practically empty. Terrible experience

Code 01 just started for me 2 weeks ago. I wasted an hour of my lunch break scanning items, only to find out i had to go to the register. I just left the cart full of items at the front. Now Sam's pissed off a customer AND is going to spend an hour of an employee's time putting all that stuff back.

Code 01 now waiting in line To pay...very disappointed it was supposed to be fast and easy but we spend 45 more minutes :(

Same problem....scan everything and then end up waiting in line because of error code 01, whatever that is. Fix it, Sam's!!

What good is the app if you get the error code 01 and still end up waiting in line? Extremely disappointed!

You cannot use this app if you are buying any form of alcohol. I recommend that the program be updated to allow age verification be part of the final checkout confirmation conducted at the store exit. It would be one more click to be performed by the checker at the exit.

The only reason I give it 3 stars instead of 1 is because the app code reader is cool and picks up the barcode quickly and allows me to enter quantity. But what good is this if every time you use it you get an error code 01, which doesn't allow payment? We've successfully used the app once, we've had 3 failed attempts though with the same 01 code.would like to use the app. Sams can this issue be resolved? Please notify membership of your intentions on the matter.

What a joke!! this app worked good for about two months and now all I get is a 01 code at check out and back to the long lines I go. I tried to talk to the customer service and all I get is, OH I never heard of that before right after the last person inline just told them the same thing.

Great when it works... so disappointing when it doesn't!! 50/50. For us it works in Ft Myers but not in Port Charlotte or Sarasota stores

App is like Russian Roulette every time I go to the store. It worked great in the beginning - early 2017. Now I have to log in every time I got to the store, it's not available half the time and today I scanned everything and then got a Code 01 that said I had to go to the register. After checking out at the register I went to customer service to find out what code 01 was. They didn't know and called the central office and they didn't know either. Works less than 50% of the time.
